Hi Zen Friends,
Sadly, I am transitioning out of the day guide/bike rental business here in San Diego. The insurance costs are too high and my old back is just not up for the major schlepping and maintenance of bikes this job requires me to do.
There is a silver lining, however! I am looking into the possibility of organizing some bike trips abroad in the future. I am currently boning up on my rusty Spanish with plans of taking a group over to Northern Spain in 2014 for "El Camino de Santiago." Please keep "liking me" and I'll keep you informed.

I'm also considering a trip to Southern Sweden, for a less strenuous mostly road-riding, "beaching" and spa-going experience. (Girls' Trip?!)
I'd love to know your thoughts on bike trips you've always wanted to take. And please, please continue to be a "friend of Zen" if you are even mildly interested. I'm going to try to get the most competitive prices and offer a lot of "insider" opportunities since I'm fairly well-traveled in Spain and Sweden.
Most of all, thanks for supporting me all these years. I have met THE most incredible, inspiring people who have put their trust and confidence in me on rides long, short, easy, tough, flat, hilly, snowy, windy, sweltering and frigid! The knowledge and satisfaction I have gained in being able to "play" on my bike for these past years has been immeasurable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

So happy we cruised out to today to visit and met the cool owner Chelsea, her parents and one of her perky pups. Next time we go, Freckles will make sure to nip her mama’s behind so we get there before closing 😂. Still, it was TOTALLY worth the trip just to score some awesome CDCC logo swag and learn that there is another location inside in the Miramar area.
