We’ve been unearthing some oldies but goodies, like these photos by Dave Oleary from 10 years ago when Gina Bolles Sorensen had hair and Kyle Sorensen had hops (actually he still does!). We're posting our dance and project stuff on our somebodies dance theater Instagram. If you’re an IG-er, check out and follow . Planning to add lots more!

We created our first dance for the camera in 2008, so we had over a decade of practice and experience when the pandemic put our skills to the test as all programming moved into the digital sphere. This year, we have loved teaching students about the questions, considerations, and how-to's of the genre. On March 17, we're leading a workshop for the California Dance Education Association (CDEA) entitled "Digital Dance Making: Developing Student Creators." Fellow dance educators, check out the link for more info and attend for just $10-$15.

Gina Bolles Sorensen had the pleasure of teaching class for the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company last night. While dancers and teachers everywhere are missing in-person class, there are perks to the Zoom world we live in at the moment, like teaching class in Massachusetts from sunny San Diego. What a joy to be with you, dancers!

Kyle and Gina share a lot of things: two beautiful and wild sons, a love of Mexican food, and a tireless curiosity about the magic of dance - especially its potential to make both dancers and audiences feel very aware of themselves and also transported out of body and time. We love creating work for schools! The students we get to work with are exceptionally insightful and inspiring. Check out "Nomad," choreographed, directed, and edited by Gina Bolles Sorensen for dancers in the Grossmont College Dance program for their Fall 2020 virtual dance concert, Entrances & Exits. Kyle Sorensen's cinematography and original music deliver added richness. Congratulations to the dancers for their beautifully present performances!
