It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our President, Gabe Hannah. 💙
Gabe was so much more than our league president. Everyone in SDYSA was his family, and he treated every player as if they were his own. He was every player’s biggest supporter, always cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments both on and off the field.
His dedication, kindness, and love for our league touched countless players, families, coaches, and volunteers. His impact on SDYSA will never be forgotten, and there will forever be a piece of Gabe in our league and in the hearts of those who knew him.
During this incredibly difficult time, we ask that everyone please respect Gabe’s family’s privacy as they grieve this tremendous loss.

Please keep his family, loved ones, and our entire SDYSA family in your thoughts. 💙

We have a BIG weekend coming up for SDYSA! Mark your calendars and make sure your players are ready for assessments, Select tryouts, uniform fittings, and our equipment exchange! 👏

📅 Saturday, August 22 – Recreation Assessments
📍 Lone Hill Park
🕗 8U: 8–11 AM
🕚 10U: 11 AM–2 PM
🕑 12U: 2–4 PM

📅 Sunday, August 23 – Select Tryouts
📍 Lone Hill Park
🕘 8U: 9–11 AM
🕚 10U: 11 AM–1 PM
🕐 12U: 1–3 PM

📅 Tuesday, August 25 – Make-Up Assessments & Select Tryouts
📍 San Dimas Sportsplex
🕕 All divisions: 6–8 PM

There will be NO player assessments for 6U or 14U. Players in these divisions should still attend their uniform fitting!

🥎 WHAT TO BRING TO ASSESSMENTS:
⚾️ Bat
🥎 Batting helmet
🧤 Glove
🛡️ Fielder’s mask
👟 Cleats

Pitchers and catchers will also be assessed. Catchers should bring their own catching gear.

Saturday, August 22 at Lone Hill Park! Bring gently used softball equipment your player has outgrown and see if there’s something your player can use this season.

🥎 For Rec Players: Assessments are for ALL 8U–12U players, regardless of experience! This helps us create balanced teams for the season.

⭐ Interested in Select? Don’t forget to attend your division’s Select tryout. Please note that attending tryouts does not guarantee a spot on a Select team.

Here are some important upcoming dates for our 2026 Fall Ball season! Please note that all dates are tentative and subject to change. Additional details, including times and locations, will be announced as they become available.

A few reminders:
🥎 Player assessments are for 8U–14U only. There are no assessments for 6U.
👕 Uniform fitting is for all divisions.
♻️ Our Equipment Exchange is a chance to bring any gently used softball equipment you no longer need—another SDYSA family may be able to put it to good use!
⭐ Select tryouts are open to registered players interested in participating in our Select program.

Our SDYSA 12U Gold All-Star team is headed to the USA Softball Southern California "B" State Championship! 🏆

After an outstanding run as finalists at the Northern "B" District Tournament, these girls have earned the opportunity to compete against the best "B" teams from across Southern California.

We couldn't be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and determination this team has shown throughout the All-Star season. Now it's time to take the next step and compete for a State Championship!

Good luck to our players, coaches, and families. We're all cheering you on and can't wait to see what you accomplish. Go make San Dimas proud! 💙💛

Join us this fall for another exciting season with the San Dimas Youth Softball Association! Whether your player is new to the game or a returning athlete, Fall Ball is a great opportunity to build skills, gain experience, and have fun.

🥎 2026 Fall Divisions (based on birthdate)

• 6U: September 1, 2019 – August 31, 2021
• 8U: September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2019
• 10U: September 1, 2015 – August 31, 2017
• 12U: September 1, 2013 – August 31, 2015
• 14U: September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2013

💲 Registration: $225 (includes a refundable $60 volunteer fee)
👨‍👩‍👧 Sibling Discount: Save $25 for each additional sibling registered
⏰ Early Bird Discount: Save $25 through June 30
📅 Registration Closes: August 15

📢 Assessment dates, Select tryout dates, and uniform fitting dates will be announced at a later time.
