Today, our President & Headmaster of The Early Learning Institute ATL, Mr. Ty The Childcare Whisperer , had the opportunity to visit Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning , and it was truly an AMAZING experience🤗

The conversations centered around ways to improve the childcare industry, strengthen support for providers, and continue creating safer, healthier, and more effective environments for children across Georgia.

One thing that stood out most was the willingness to listen, collaborate, and do what it takes to help move this great industry forward

During the visit, Mr. Ty also learned more about Georgia’s “CHOP, LOOK, & LISTEN” campaign designed to help prevent choking incidents in childcare settings and at home 🏡

The campaign encourages caregivers and educators to:
✂️ CHOP food into safe, age-appropriate pieces
👀 LOOK and closely observe children while they eat
👂 LISTEN while children are chewing and eating to quickly recognize signs of distress

Did you know:
⚠️ Choking is one of the leading causes of injury and death in young children, especially ages 0–4
⚠️ Children should always be actively supervised while eating
⚠️ Proper food preparation can significantly reduce choking risks

At ELI, child safety will ALWAYS be a priority💜

This visit was impactful, inspiring, and a reminder that collaboration is necessary if we truly want to improve early childhood education.
