Creating boundaries
Do what you can to physically separate your working space from your living space, especially if you have kids at home.
Even the shortest distraction can kill your productivity.
A three-second interruption can double the number of mistakes you make in your work as your attention gets dragged away to something else.
Don’t have kids?
Then self-isolate from that other great dependant, your phone.
The mere presence of the worker’s phone was enough to distract him and lead to lower productivity.
Stepping away from tasks occasionally is a good idea, though.
Get away from the computer but keep a pad and pen with you.
Longhand writing improves creativity and problem solving, while journaling is said to be an effective way to stretch your attention span.

Why start a blog?
We all know that blogging can be beneficial for any home business, however, it’s not the only way to make it a success.
If you can fathom the idea of sitting down to write a few articles a week, then perhaps it’s for you.
Then there are those who have perhaps had the idea sitting at the back of their minds for a while.
They would love to share their ideas but just have no clue if they’re cut out for the blogger’s life.

People will find you on Google
With the constant influx of new information, search engines will love you and your site.
The more targeted keywords you’re introducing, the higher the chances are of you ranking on Google, i.e., the more eyeballs = the more income.

Writing
Writing is the perfect combination of thinking, reflecting, creating, analyzing, theorizing, disproving, and synthesizing ideas, facts, and information.
The only way to write is to curate what you think.
Therefore, writing imposes discipline on your thoughts and emotions.
Everyone could use some of that discipline, and that’s why everyone should write.
You don’t have to write in public, and you don’t have to do a lot of it, but please, do more than just send texts and birthday cards.
Write in a journal, write on a blog, or write for five minutes a day and then throw it away.
Writing is thinking.
The more you write, the faster you’ll think.

This doesn’t mean that you’re into art, it means that you’re constantly finding new ways to do the things that you’re interested in.
If you wanted to start a surfers’ blog, become creative with what you explore such as what to expect from different boards, best surf spots, top new tricks to try.
You can get creative as you want to while trying to stick to your niche.

Signs that you should probably start a blog
You love helping others
This is a biggie because the best blogs are the ones that provide the most value to their audience.
People all want some kind of takeaway.
If you’re a photographer, give them tips on creating the best frame.
If you’re a chef, why not create a space where instead of your audience copying your recipes, give them a list of spices that work really well together in dishes to try and come up with their own recipe.
If you’re a car mechanic, create a video on how to easily change your tires or a list of the best tool kit to have in your car for the "just in case" moments.

Instantly becoming a boss/industry leader
Whether you’re a travel enthusiast, a chef or a musician, creating a website and providing valuable information immediately thrusts you into the league of experts.
Sure there are people that have more experience, but by supplying your audience with information that they may not have had access to otherwise, or they just like your vibe, means that you’re a step ahead in the game and you’re becoming a leader rather than a follower.
