First time front squatting and Haram crushed it. 🔥🏋️‍♂️

Haram has been training with me for over a year now and the progress has been incredible to watch. This was his first time front squatting, and he did an amazing job dialing in his form and attacking the challenge. 💪

When you train with me, you’re not just building strength in the gym — you’re building a stronger mindset, discipline, and confidence that carries into every part of your life. 🧠⚡️

Every session we focus on one goal:
Be better than the last. 📈

And along the way, we make sure to enjoy the process and have fun doing it. 😄

Intensity over ego. 💪🏼

Today I slowed things down with a banded bench press and focused on tempo and intent on every rep.

⬇️ Eccentric: slow and controlled as the chest stretches
⚡ Concentric: burst the weight up with speed
🔥 Top position: squeeze the chest and lock in control

The band forces you to stay stable and explosive, which means lighter weight can still create serious intensity. Every rep has purpose. Every rep counts.

This is a simple way to change your routine and improve your bench press without piling on more plates. You’ll build bar speed, stability, control, and better chest activation.

Train smarter, not just heavier.

31 years behind the counter and still treating every single person like family ❤️

Shoutout to Estuardo at Grilly’s in Mill Valley — one of the kindest, most genuine humans you’ll ever meet. This man has been working there for THREE DECADES. He literally watched me and my friends grow up in front of his eyes… from kids grabbing food after school to adults chasing our dreams.

That kind of loyalty, consistency, and heart is rare.

I’ll always support local businesses because they’re built on people like him — people who remember your name, ask how your family is doing, and go the extra mile every single time without asking for anything in return. Great service doesn’t go unnoticed. Character doesn’t go unnoticed.

I’m beyond thankful for Estuardo and the entire Grilly’s staff. We need more humans like this in the world.

Nothing fancy. No gym. No plan.
Just a beautiful day, a little competition, and a few questionable cartwheels 😂

Fitness isn’t always structured workouts and macros.
Sometimes it’s laughing, sprinting your girlfriend down the sidewalk, and realizing movement is supposed to feel FUN.

Go outside today.
Call a friend.
Race someone.
Touch grass.
Move your body.

That’s health. That’s balance. That’s the method.

FRIDGE CHECK ✅

Do me and favor and go look in your refrigerator 🤔

What do you have? Healthy snacks? Meals ready to eat? Or a bunch of junk?

Provide yourself and your household with healthy ready to eat options. We all get hungry. We all need to snack. It doesn’t have to be chips and crackers.

Have veggies, protien, eggs, etc on hand ready to go. It will make your life so much easier and force you to make better decisions.

If you buy crap at the store you will eat crap.

It’s time to clear out that old junk and get some better options in there.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Lower back tight during squats? 👀
Try this SIMPLE fix ⬇️

Adding a band above your knees activates your glutes (especially glute medius) 🍑 and teaches your hips to create stability before your lower back tries to take over.

When your knees collapse in, your hips lose control → your low back compensates → pain & tightness show up.

The band forces:
✅ Knees out
✅ Glutes on
✅ Better hip stability
✅ Neutral spine control
✅ Less stress on the lumbar spine

Stronger hips = happier lower back.

This is one of my favorite coaching cues for clients dealing with low back pain during squats or lower body training 💪
