🦭The Seals got it done!

In a see-sawing affair in West Sunset, the San Francisco Seals ultimately had too much fire power for the Marin Mavericks, securing the GGAFL men’s metro premiership with a convincing 76-56 victory thanks to a barstorming third quarter in which they could not be denied. They now have bragging rights for a year until the Mavs or Pirates have a chance to claim the throne.

Thanks to everyone who came out to volunteer and support and thanks to all the players for a fantastic metro season. This year we welcomed a tonne of awesome new players and we couldn’t be more excited about the future of the GGAFL.

It has all come down to this! The final showdown of the GGAFL men’s metro league will see two historic rivals, the Marin Mavericks 🐴 and the San Francisco Seals 🦭, battling it out one last time for bragging rights as THE premier Bay Area GGAFL squad. 🏆

It is all going down this Saturday 5PM at West Sunset Soccer Fields, 3100 Quintará St San Francisco. Post game tacos 🌮and beers🍻 will be at Underdogs Too from 6-ish. Be there!

Congratulations to our men’s team and to Sacramento’s women’s team for taking the chocolates at yesterday’s Pacific Rivals Tournament in the West Sunset. Huge thanks to all the players, volunteers, and supporters for coming out, and to Sacramento Suns AFC , Portland Australian Football Club , and Wasatch WarGulls Football Club for making the trek down to the Bay Area and making the day possible.

We are KEEN AS to welcome Sacramento Suns AFC , Portland Australian Football Club , and Wasatch WarGulls Football Club to the Bay this Saturday for the 2026 annual USAFL Pacific Rivals Tournament!

Games will be held at the West Sunset Soccer Fields, 2100 39th Ave, and will kick off at 10AM:

10am Roos vs Portland/Wasatch
11am Maidens vs Sac/Portland/Wasatch
12pm Suns vs Portland/Wasatch
1pm Roos vs Suns

All are welcome, it will no doubt be a great day of Aussie Rules Footy!

In the men’s comp the Roos had a tougher day, falling to Sacramento Suns AFC and Seattle Grizzlies in a close one and then running out of legs against the reigning men’s champs Denver Bulldogs ARFC.
