The Golden Gate Australian Football League (GGAFL) is a non-profit sporting organization that has been operating in the Bay Area for over 25 years and has introduced thousands of people to the game of Australian Rules Football. The league - consisting of men's, women's and co-ed competitions - is a great way to get fit, meet new people from all over the world, and make some new mates.

Great day of footy in Palo Alto! The Seals 🦭held on for the win, but the Pirates 🏴☠️ fought admirably despite losing some players early to injury and nearly took the choccies. The Seals now move on to face the Mavs 🐴 in our men’s metro grand final on August 29.
In the women’s game the pond turtles 🐢 had their way with the Sirens 🪽, with rumors swirling that the Sirens may have moved into tank mode with eyes on the 2027 draft. This is a developing story so watch this space for updates.

Win or GO HOME! There are no more second chances as the Seals 🦭 and Pirates 🏴☠️ face off in a do-or-die preliminary final tomorrow in Palo Alto. The winner will earn a spot in the GGAFL men’s metro grand final, the loser will have all off season to think about where it all went wrong.
In the women’s curtain raiser the pond turtles 🐢 and Sirens 🪽 will once again battle it out for bragging rights.

It’s a draw! Even after extra time nothing could separate the Seals 🦭 and the Mavs 🐴 in Mill Valley today. Epic battle and both teams fought it out to the very end.
As the higher seed the Mavs now advance to the grand final, while the Seals will meet the Pirates 🏴☠️ in a ‘win or go home’ Preliminary Final on July 11.

Updated men’s metro league ladder heading into week 1 of finals. Dominant home and away season for the Mavs 🐴 , but with some key players returning to health and a few handy mid season acquisitions the Seals 🦭 and Pirates 🏴☠️ are very much still in the hunt.
