GGAFL Metro Round 2 is here!

In the women’s division the Sirens 🪽will be out for revenge after getting narrowly defeated by the Breakers 🌊 in round 1.

In the men’s division the Seals 🦭will be hoping to gain back some respect following their wooden spoon finish in 2025, while the Pirates 🏴‍☠️ will be keen to bounce back after their round 1 defeat at the hands of the Mavs. 🐴

The Breakers 🌊 pipped the Sirens 🪽 in the women’s match while the defending champion Mavericks 🐴 held off a strong challenge from the Pirates 🏴‍☠️ in the men’s.

Next GGAFL metro game will be May 30, get around it! New players always welcome!!

It’s almost metro league match day and the GGAFL is ready to ROLL! Join us this Saturday morning in Mill Valley as our men’s and women’s metro seasons kick off at the Seminary Playing Field.

Game 1: 9:30AM (men’s) Marin Mavericks vs. Oakland Pirates
Game 2: 10:30AM (women’s) Bay Area Breakers vs. San Francisco Sirens

We will also be hosting a bbq after the games. What more could you ask for?!?

Inspiring scenes at the last night as an exciting cadre of young athletes were drafted into their respective metro league teams, the mighty Marin Mavericks 🐴 and the San Francisco Seals 🦭. For many of these young men, this was a lifelong dream come true and doubtlessly the highlight of their Australian football careers. Or at least their weekends.

On a more somber note, our sincere condolences go out to the few poor souls drafted to the Oakland Pirates. Our thoughts are with you in this difficult time 🏴‍☠️
