Exciting news! Our Gen P merch has been selling so well, we’re debuting several new colors this fall! Our new color combinations include hot pink & grey and navy & cream.
But what does Gen P mean? 🤔 It’s just a friendly reminder that Pilates belongs to every generation. At EHS, we’ve spent the last 30 years watching the method work for every body that walks through our doors, from people just discovering Pilates for the first time to clients who’ve been practicing for decades and are still discovering new things in their work. It’s a practice that grows with you and a community you’re welcome to, no matter your age or ability.
Find our new color combos in the EHS store, coming later this month!

The body is living architecture. Our bones give us the framework, but they’re never static. They glide, rotate, and move in rhythm and relationship with one another. Understanding those rhythms will change how you see movement from the inside out.
This is what we mean when we talk about bone rhythms. It’s the difference between telling someone to lift their arm and understanding how the scapula, humerus, and ribcage move together to make that happen.
Several of our instructors have studied under Eric Franklin, whose work on dynamic neurocognitive imagery and bone rhythm has shaped how we teach and cue. If you’ve ever had an instructor at EHS say something that helped you understand a movement in a totally new way, there’s a good chance this is partly why.
When you understand how the body is put together, you understand how to move it better. No bones about it. 🦴

How do we approach prehab at EHS? 🤔 It starts with how the body organizes itself in movement, which is the focus of our CoreAlign classes.
Developed by physical therapist Jonathan Hoffman, CoreAlign brings movement off the mat and into an upright, weight-bearing environment, focusing on how the feet, legs, hips, spine, and core function together in everyday life.
As Nancy Myers, our CoreAlign educator and Balanced Body certified instructor says, it’s “pain relief through better body mechanics.”
CoreAlign classes are rare. At EHS, we’re lucky to have both the equipment and the educators who know how to use it. Done consistently, prehab work like CoreAlign can help improve coordination, reduce chronic pain, and give the body a much stronger foundation in recovery.
If you’re interested in signing up for a CoreAlign class, we offer it throughout the week. Head to the link in our bio to join a class!

Pilates instructors, it’s so important to show your body some extra care on long days of teaching. If you’re teaching back-to-back classes all week, your feet are probably taking more of a beating than you think.
The plantar fascia is part of a continuous fascial chain that runs up through the calves, hamstrings, and into the lower back, so tension that starts in the feet rarely stays contained there. 😮💨
A few minutes of rolling through the metatarsal lines and into the plantar arch between classes can:
◾️Break up fascial adhesions that build up from prolonged standing
◾️Hydrate the connective tissue and improve load distribution across the whole foot
◾️Reduce stiffness and improve circulation through the lower leg
◾️Give the whole posterior chain the chance to reset before the next class
And you can do it all with just a rubber ball. 💯
