Sometimes you just need to stop feeling & go do the thing you are dreading. Or sometimes, you just need sleep. You can’t out-train sh*tty sleep. 😴
When you are consistent in a sleep deficit: 💩😴💤
• 🏋️ Your workouts suffer — less strength, power, focus, and coordination. The same workout can feel harder than it normally would.
• 🍫 Your hunger goes up — sleep deprivation can increase appetite and make high-calorie, highly palatable foods harder to resist.
• 🔥 Your metabolism takes a hit — your insulin sensitivity can worsen, and you may unconsciously move less throughout the day.
• 💪 Recovery gets worse — your body has less opportunity to repair muscle and recover from training, which can affect your ability to build or maintain muscle.
• ⚖️ Fat loss becomes harder — not because your metabolism suddenly “breaks,” but because you’re hungrier, moving less, recovering poorly, and potentially losing more lean mass during a calorie deficit.
So if you’re eating well and training consistently but sleeping 5–6 hours a night…
You’re making the process WAY harder than it needs to be.
Sleep is not time wasted.
Sleep is part of the program. 😴💪
