I’ve been a coach since 2006. I’ve weathered recessions and a pandemic. The “safe” job I had when I started coaching cited mass layoffs a year after I went full-time with my business, so I was glad I’d built myself other options.
Now? I have a private practice + write books + I’m Director of Training for an accredited coach training program ( TeamCLCC.com ).
A study conducted by Price Waterhouse Coopers in 2025 found that coaching as an industry has surpassed the five billion mark, and it continues to grow. It’s also one of the most scalable business models out there—no upfront investment beyond training, take on more clients or fewer clients depending how n how much time you have.
Those are the practicalities and I think they should be spoken to—but beyond that, I love love love the work. I quit an MFT program to pursue coaching, I loved it so much. My clients are amazing and it’s a privilege to do this work.
If you’ve considered coaching, if you’re wanting to do fulfilling work and build something better than the crappy 9-5? Check out TeamCLCC.com .
