"Hey OYSF Fam! My name is Haleli.
The day my life changed is when I walked into my first yoga studio in Santa Cruz about 9 years ago. My favorite type of yoga depends on the day ~ some days it's a fun dynamic vinyasa flow, other days it's hatha, sinking into the foundation of a pose, and other days it's breathing in savasana with legs up the wall.
Fun fact: About a year from now, I will become an Occupational Therapist!
Teaching with Outdoor Yoga is an absolute blessing. I love how it motivates us to go outside, feel the air, adapt to our surroundings, and become alive with the seasons. Breathing and moving in the flow state with one another in unity while taking in the beauty of nature is such an awe-inspiring experience, and I am so grateful to be a part of it."

You do not have to wait to get to the other side of the unknown to exhale. You are free to take deep breaths, right here.

You are not a failure for not being able to keep up with everyone else’s pace…even if it feels that way.

There is more to you than your resilience. You are also allowed to be sensitive, tender, and ready to embrace a more gentle pace.

You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to imagine something better.

It’s hard to make sense of the timing of it all in real-time. Be kind to yourself here. Keep breathing through this day by day. Having to wait does not make you a failure.

It doesn’t make you weak if you need a little time to grieve the way certain relationships are changing in your life…including friendships.

It’s okay to need other people.

Not every plan has to be written in permanent ink. Be gentle and patient with yourself as you make room for what could be.

Be kind to yourself as you learn to pace yourself. Even learning how to rest is a process.
