Analog. No filters, no shooting until it’s “perfect”. Just us, raw, one shot, captured in an old school way. A fun and welcome reminder to keep living a raw, full life and not try to shape it to how we think would be best perceived by others. I love this girl and am so fortunate to be living this life with her.

We took a road trip for our socially distanced holidays. Woke up to views like this, had jet boiled coffee in cold mountain air without screens before hiking 5-10 miles each day, and slept in our Tepui in 30° weather. Feeling recharged!

I haven’t shared anything about what’s happening in our country this week because I felt other people have a better voice and the experiences that need to be heard.
_
So I listened. The things I heard made me sad. Frustrated. Angry. And I understand that I can never understand how people of color have felt and continue to feel.
_
And today I acted. We walked the Golden Gate Bridge with the peaceful protest for equality and change to fix the systems that are broken.
_
It was surreal to see traffic slow in the distance and people take advantage of the opportunity to flood into the traffic lanes. To witness people act for what is right. I can only hope that those in power act with some semblance of the same conviction to create the change we need.
_
It is just one action in one day, but I hope we all continue with these small actions to create the change we need. Let’s be 1%, or even a fraction of a percent, better each day.

Creating space for yourself.

It’s especially tough right now to create space for yourself. A lot of people are WFH (work from home) for the foreseeable future.
_
WFH has it’s own challenges...no separate work and personal space, family or roommates on top of you all day.
_
So it’s important to create some space for you.
_
I’ve been doing a 20-30min breathwork and meditation break at lunch time every day and it’s been working wonders.
_
Are you creating space for yourself every day? If so, whatcha doing? If not...what’s your biggest challenge?

The Great Pause 🤔
My hope is everyone comes out of this living life in a new way.

A proactive, mindful, grateful way.
_
This Great Pause is a forced reset. An opportunity to evaluate how we’ve been spending our time, and to say no to the things that don’t align with our core values.
_
Time is too fleeting to be spent doing things we don’t enjoy, trying to impress people that we don’t even know, while secretly wishing for a life that’s possible “if only”...
_
The time is now. Embrace all the moments that are happening before our eyes, good, bad, and otherwise.

Spending quality time 👌🏼. Right now it’s tough to tear ourselves away from screens. We’re feeling cooped up truly socially distant.
_
But you can still make space for yourself. For connecting with people. For getting outside and getting exercise, sunlight, and fresh air.
_
and I are making it a consistent priority to unplug and get outside so we can decompress and connect more with each other. What better way to spend an evening that playing board games outside with a view like this?
_
