Congratulations to one of our fiercest and dedicated young leaders.
Many of the youth have been training most of their lives. The dojo is a place where they can build trust in each other, face their fears, and lead with grace.

This Saturday, December 6 @ 4:30 - The Annual Quantum Leap! We're celebrating 30 years of public service this year, and we're hoping you will come to help us celebrate.

Here's the schedule for the evening -
4:30- Event begins with music and food
5:15 - Nerf battle begins!
6:00 - Martial Arts Demo
6:45 - Stories, music and free play

On the dojo will be closed and resume regular schedule on Tuesday!

Quantum is celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2025! Hope you will join us in the many opportunities to come together. Our 3 schools in San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle welcome everyone to join in the festivities, set big goals, and thrive in community.

Congrats to the awesome group of white and yellow belts who just tested. So much bravado and finesse, can't wait to see them transform into their next ranks.

After every test you get to break a board. After a few attempts with wrong angles and thuds, all aligned and Snap!

Congratulations to our students who tested this past weekend! In order to be invited to test for your next belt rank at Quantum you need to do the following:

📚Know your belt curriculum, including your rank form and one-steps

🙇🏻‍♀️Ask for permission to test

❤️‍🔥 Show up fully present — with your mind, body, and heart open to growth

Burner Dojo 2024 at is a wrap! Thank you to everybody who came together to offer the playa a dojo floor to the aspiring and very talented martial artists who came to the burn. Three stories from the 24 Burn:

🔥 In 2022, one burner came to our board breaking class and before he broke the board, he wrote on it “F**k Cancer” because he had just been diagnosed. This year, he came to our camp to tell us that he had beat cancer.

❤️‍🔥 and taught classes to kids at the burn and adapted to the kids interests, teaching an impromptu, beginning parent/child ground fighting class that had everybody giggling, laughing

🐦‍🔥One burner asked to learn how to fight with his cane. He had practiced other martial arts and suffered injuries that made it hard for him to walk. We taught him some Arnise movements with his cane, so he could keep on practicing.

So many burners came to our events to share their martial arts and to learn something from us. We are truly the playa’s dojo.
