"Do the work. Trust the process."⠀

These are simple words to live by...⠀

But there is so much truth emanating from this simple saying.⠀

Going into my first year of college football, I was injured and unfit.⠀

And I was a bit disappointed because I wanted to hit the ground running.⠀

However, I applied myself the best I could during preseason. I played hard, ran hard, cramped up a lot!⠀

But still, gave it my all.⠀

I knew if I just did the work. If I just put in my best effort instead of half assing it, my fitness would improve and I'd do well.⠀

I didn't start the first two matches, but I came off the bench in both to score 3 goals in 2 games from midfield!⠀

After that, I started every game for the rest of the season, becoming the teams top goalscorer in the process as a freshman, and helped my team to their first conference final match in school history where we played the #1 ranked team in the whole nation at the time.⠀

I had a choice when I came into preseason and when I realized I wouldn't be starting right away.⠀

I could get discouraged, moan as I looked at how much work it would be to get back into shape and into the starting 11...⠀

Or I could knuckle down, do the work, and trust that good things would come from it.⠀

The crazy thing is that I saw both ends of this working.⠀

I saw myself do the work, trust the process and get into the starting 11...⠀

And I saw a few other players that became discouraged when they weren't getting into the team and stop putting in 100% effort. Some were even cut or left the team.⠀

You have this same choice when it comes to your goals.⠀

You can either do the work and trust the process.⠀

Or not, and never get the results you want.⠀

It really just comes down to the choice of doing it or not.⠀

I certainly would encourage you to take the first option. Whatever your goals are, figure out what you need to do, do it, and trust the process even when it becomes difficult.⠀

Cheers,⠀
Dave

Friday Mastery 👟⚽️🔥
Great drill for getting touches with all the surface areas of the feet you’ll use for tight space ball control (insides, outsides & soles) working on those first time finishes accross goal, which are easy to launch over the crossbar if you don’t lean over the ball 🚀🥅

Trial 🗣🗣⚽️ A big well done to Kushon Lewis Thomas who was invited back by Cardiff City FC after our showcase match against their U16’s. 💥💥 Kushon was one of the few players Cardiff City FC showed interest in during the game. ⭐️ It’s always amazing to work together to help create opportunities & experiences for these young players and hopefully some gain contracts ⚽️ Wishing you the best Kush going forward ✨

We appreciate the trust our players place in us and our people when they travel.
Due to the increasing number of cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) being reported across the world and travel restrictions imposed in many European countries, we are forced to postpone the upcoming tours that were scheduled for this Spring.
The health and safety of everybody is of utmost importance to us and we also understand the financial commitment that clubs and families have endured to live a once-in-a-lifetime soccer experience in Europe. For this reason, we are working closely with suppliers, clubs, and soccer families to find future travel dates, hoping that the danger of this novel virus will be mitigated by then.
Thanks to all soccer families that continue trusting in Signal Soccer Academy, and we are looking forward to providing you with the unforgettable soccer experience that was promised in the near future.
