O’Neal IPX ACells.
These cells that are embedded in some lines of O’Neal helmets provide great protection against injuries caused by rotational and low-speed impacts.
The ACells instantly react to rotational impacts and forces by deforming based on the direction of the rotational forces applied to it which helps to minimize head injuries.
A lot of severe head injuries happen at low speeds. We all assume that high speeds are when the injuries happen, which is true, but severe injuries occur at low-speeds as you’re not really sliding and just meeting that sudden stop of momentum with your head.
These ACells absorb the forces and act as another layer of defense before the EPS performs its protective functions at higher speeds.
Just another feature by O’Neal that helps to keep us safe.
Let me know if you’d like a helmet at a HUGE discount.
