San Francisco Youth Soccer Families,

Whether it's cheering from the sidelines or helping a teammate, great communities are built by people who show up for each other. PG&E is proud to support your team with a few simple ways your neighborhood can prepare together for emergencies.

Build your community game plan:

When an emergency happens, being prepared together can make all the difference. Here are a few simple steps that can help your neighborhood get ready for whatever tomorrow brings:

Map out two evacuation routes: Make sure everyone in your household knows the plan and practices it.

Sign up for alerts: Enroll in local emergency notifications so you can receive important updates when they matter most. Also sign up for PG&E outage alerts at https://www.pge.com/outagealert

Check in on neighbors: Talk with older adults or anyone who may need extra assistance before or during an emergency.

Prepare for local hazards: If wildfires are a risk where you live, create defensible space around your home and lend a hand to neighbors who could use help.

Small actions. Big difference:

The strongest teams don't wait until game day to prepare, and the same is true for our communities. A quick conversation today can help everyone know what to do before an emergency happens.

PG&E is proud to support San Francisco Youth Soccer. We’re cheering for you!

Our players are the heart and soul of SFYS - and our coaches are the ones who help them shine. ⚽✨

On National Coaches Day, we want to celebrate the over 500 coaches who show up every single week at fields all across San Francisco.

You guide our players, build their confidence, and create a space where they can grow on and off the pitch. SFYS simply couldn’t happen without your time, patience, and heart.

Drop a comment below to shout out an SFYS coach who has made a difference for your player! 👇📣

Happy National Coaches Day! To help improve the youth sports landscape across the country, our friends at the Sports & Society Program want to hear directly from youth soccer coaches.

Building better athletes—and better people. ⚽❤️

On National Coaches Day, we’re proud to highlight our partnership with Alliance.

Happy National Coaches Day!

Great coaching is never just about wins and losses. A great coach is a mentor, a leader, and a source of inspiration who builds character, instills resilience, and teaches life skills that stay with young athletes long after the game is over.

Today is all about giving those leaders the recognition they truly deserve. We want to honor the coaches who show up every day, believe in their players, and help them discover what they are capable of achieving long after the game ends.

Here is how you can help us celebrate:
1. Share this post or post your own story about a coach who made a difference in your life.

2. Use the hashtags and so we can see and re-share your tribute!

3. Nominate an impactful mentor for the 2027 PCA Coach of the Year Award presented by TeamSnap ONE at https://hubs.ly/Q04zkLH20

"As a referee, you become a sharper player because you're looking at the game holistically..."

We love this quote from our Senior Program Manager, David Reardon, in the new United States of Soccer: San Francisco feature! 🇺🇸⚽

David started the Game Officials Futbol Club (GOFC) to give our youth referees a team of their own to play on. This Spring Varsity season wrapped up with the epic "GOFC Classico," celebrating 20 graduating seniors who have given so much time, leadership, and heart to our league.

From referee camps and roundtables to the pitch, we are so proud of how these youth sports leaders are shaping the game in SF.
