There are many paths to getting up off of the floor gracefully. Diane working on getting up off of the ground (aka a burpee) with only the use of one arm and one leg. Polio has robbed most of the function of the other limbs. There is always a way to be better.
No arms? No problem. As a polio survivor, Diane has some significant weakness in her arms that can make it difficult to hold weight while squating. Solution: heavy chains over the shoulders. This solution has been so successful that she now wears the chains all day as a fashion statement.
