Hello! I want to personally invite you to join me for BaseCamp Winter Group Coaching. This is really an amazing program and, if you want to up your cycling fitness for 2026, this is probably the best way to do it. I first participated as an athlete years ago and have been coaching with BaseCamp for the past three years.

The BaseCamp program includes 6 days of virtual meetups on Zwift and/or Training Peaks Virtual; a complete 16-week cycling training program that is customized for you, your goals, your age, and your gender; two days a week of coached group workouts (with the option of four different times each day); more educational material than you could ever digest (webcasts, blogs, live educational events), social meetups, group challenges, an included strength program, nutritional education and tools, whew!

Hey Velo Girls! I’m coaching this camp in Mallorca and we just got a last-minute opening. Come ride with ME!

Like all of you, I’ve been devastated by Zoe’s death. I’ve been trying to make sense of it. I believe that everything happens for a reason, but I’m not really sure what we are meant to learn from this experience.

Today, we’re here for Zoe. But we’re also here for you. Being here with all of you, shows me the strength of our community and the power of relationships. This is something I plan to focus on in the future because I often take for granted that life will remain constant, that my friends will be here tomorrow, and that everything will just carry on. But we know that’s not true. Community and relationships take time and effort and dedication. Too often we forget that and just go about our super-busy lives.

After I learned of Zoe’s death, I did what I know many of you did, too. I went back into my phone and read all of our text messages and viewed all of photos we had shared of our adventures, together and separately. I want to read a text that she sent me recently.

When I think about our cycling community, one of the aspects I love the most is the diversity — diversity of age, education, cultural backgrounds, walks of life, everything. Just look around at this beautiful, diverse group. As a cyclist, my social interaction isn’t just with people like me. It’s with people like you — all of you.

My life is richer and fuller because of all of you and all the other women who came before you.

Today, I hope you feel safe to feel all the feels. To share your stories. To cry if you want or need. But mostly, I hope you appreciate the amazing women with whom you’ve surrounded yourself. Women like Zoe. And I hope you feel comfortable giving each other those big, long, awkward hugs that we all really need right now.

Hello, Velo Girls! Just a reminder that the early registration discount for our 2024 Winter/Spring Progressive Training Series ends TODAY!

The series begins on February 10th and includes 3 skills clinics, 10 weeks of progressive training rides, a training program, and a special-edition Velo Girls jersey!

The series will culminate in the Wine Country Century on May 4th in Santa Rosa. You will also have the option to participate in the Cinderella Classic on April 13th in Livermore.
