San Francisco Swim

Great to watch all of the support crew and swimmers on the water for today’s “Escape”. Wonderful job everyone!

Topped of the long weekend with a glorious Sunday Race day for the . Well over 1500 athletes participating and this support crew did an amazing job keeping everyone safe in the water. Many thanks to the paddlers, lifeguards, spotters, police, fire and Coast Guard marine units as well as all the motorized support boats .

Some of the Saturday fun we had during the T100 pro series amd the festival on Marina Green for the Eascape Triathlon.

Friday evening clinic completed. We had some tough conditions again but these triathletes did a great job powering through it. They are going to do great Sunday in the Escape Triathlon. Again lots of swimmers from around the world and the US. Thank you to our paddlers and boat support.

Wow we had a great morning for this how to swim from Alcatraz Clinic. Conditions on the water were spectactular.We had athletes from all over the world joining us today to get ready for the Escape Triathlon on Sunday. Great job by our boat and Paddle support. I know these folks are ready to make it happen on Sunday!! 🏊‍♀️🏊🏊‍♂️

Another successful swim clinic. Helping Escape triathletes get a taste of the Bay waters. Was a bit windy an choppy but they all did a great job. Water temp was around 60 degrees Fahrenheit .

We had the largest group of the year today. I think we hit 70 swimmers today. Many training for the . All had to fight a strong incoming tide on there way back from St. Francis beach. Well done swimmers. The hard work is paying off.

Another big group with several first timers getting ready for the Escape Triathlon as well as a few newbies just wanting to swim with a group in the Bay. SF Swim is here for that. The Bay was a bit windy and bumpy today for the brave ones that went outside the wall. Crissy Field next week 9am. Sea you there. 🏊‍♂️🏊🏊‍♀️

What a great day on the bay today for the first monthly crossing of the year . This was a pre Escape Triathlon swim for quite a few today and they all did great. Thank you to Captain Rick , Nancy and all the crew of Chuckys Pride as well as all the other motorized boats and paddlers that keep everyone safe in the water. Was a wonderful day on the Bay. Not even the Bay to breakers could stop this group from getting in the 59 degree water. Although a few couldn't make it do to the madness. Those that did had a fun challenge swimming into the strong flood outside the wall before enjoying a push back into the cove. The star of the day though was the little seal/ sea lion pup that must have lost his way. Thank you to the for coming to the rescue. I am sure this little guy will be well taken care of and returned to the sea with some friends. Scroll on through the photos for a look.
