There are moments when you can almost feel the chapter turning. This one hit fast. 🍂

In the same week, I celebrated my Mom turning 80- kites on the Bay, dinner exactly how she wanted it, stories I’d never heard before, her whole face glowing as she blew out the candles- and I moved my Emerson into her dorm at Occidental College, watching her build a space and community that are entirely hers.

Eighty years fully lived on one side. A brand new chapter beginning on the other. And there I was standing right in the middle of it, thinking: time moves so much faster than we expect it to.

Somewhere in it all, I quietly opened the doors to the next Inspirator Retreats. No big launch. I just shared what I was creating, straight from my heart. And women showed up, straight from theirs.

💕✨💕 Because so many of us are ready to ask: What do I want now? Who am I becoming? What’s still waiting to come forward?

You don’t need a crisis to give yourself permission to change. You just need a little space to breathe, laugh, move, and get curious again. Repeat that- you don’t need a crisis, you need to give yourself permission to turn the page.

That’s what we’re building together.

When we saw The Head & The Heart sing Rivers and Roads this Summer in Montana, Emerson and I both teared up. She said, “Mom, before we know it, you’ll be bringing me to college and this song is us.”

It has been a week since Emerson, Makenzie and I drove my packed car to the Eagle Rock neighborhood to move Emerson into Occidental College! 🧡🖤

The days were filled with laughter, teasing, love, nerves, meeting new friends, parent workshops and excitement. An abundance of excitement as Em was glowing in her new home for the next four years!

There was a Soccer Team Dinner on Tuesday night, and while it was amazing to meet the coach again and other families, it was even better to see Emerson acclimated to her new team so easily! After we hugged goodbye, Makenzie and I both looked at each other with an acknowledgment of, “And she is off and ready!”.

Every time I talk to Emerson, she is bubbling with excitement and happy! That is all you can wish for your kids, for them to thrive wherever they are. She is thriving and now Oxy Tigers have part of my heart in their Oxy Family!

When she called me today, my heart truly swelled and I teared up in happiness. She was bubbling in excitement with her roommate, teammates, dormmates and new friends. She found her place, filled with opportunities to expand her effervescent self, soaring far and wide!! 🐅⚽️

Also…my Mom heart is filled beyond measure. All I have ever wanted was all 3 of my girls to love on each other, celebrate each other for who they are, and be close as close can be despite being far apart in age at 22,18,12. The bonds between them is palpable, and my cup is overflowing with love and pride. So very grateful. ❤️

And just like that, Finley is off to Junior High today! 7th grade will be a great year, and I can’t wait to watch her grow!!!

Happy 81st Birthday Dad! ♥️

What an amazing Dad you were and always will be, and best Bobby to my girls and nephews!! As your fave Tina Turner says, outside of Mom Tina of course, “You’re simply the best, better than all the rest!”.

Today marks Dad’s 3rd Heavenly, and it still feels so raw sometimes. Other days it feels like I’ve been talking to him, while wishing on his star, for years. So often I want to pick up the phone to call him, to talk and hear his voice. To get “Bob Advice” as my Dad knew everything and was so kind about answering your questions. Last night at midnight was ironically one of those times.

I smelled gas in the laundry room, went to call Dad but I can’t, and called my brother to help. Tyler and I both said it was a Dad Moment, and I called non-emergency Fire. Firemen came and gratefully all ok, did as I was supposed to do and the girls were amazing, and I wanted to talk to Dad. Let him know we were fine, and the house is ok. Then he would follow up teasing me about loving firefighters, just not meeting them like that.

Dad actually did tease me that after he had a heart episode in 2023 and the fire department came to the house. It was scary that night, and the next day when he was ok, he said he was being dramatic since he trying to help me meet an a strong and empathetic next partner! Always with a twinkle in his eyes at his cleverness in crazy situations.

It’s these little moments when I want to hear his voice so badly. To share something amazing- like the recent accomplishments of the girls, their Summer adventures, our Montana and Idaho adventure, seeing a grizzly up close, planting my vegetable garden, talk about the brilliant sunsets, or plan a visit to Alameda, solely for laughs while tanning by the pool and hugs.

On my Dad’s birthday, I invite you to make a visit to your parents (or plan one soon!). Spend time to simply talk, walk, listen to music and be together. So grateful for every moment with my Dad, it was never enough and he was simply the BEST!

Cheers Dad, Happy 81st Birthday!! I love you so much!

On this Father’s Day, I feel like I am channeling my Dad in the biggest way. 💗🌄Goodness I miss him, and wish I could call him to say we saw a Grizzly at Glacier National Park!! And on Summer Solstice no less, Dad’s favorite day of the year.

It was a dream to bring my girls here, and the love of taking them inspired by my Dad. If you knew my Dad, you know he loved road trips, visiting National and State Parks, taking in the small moments, and finding the random places to go, and eat at the best dives everywhere.

We are doing that right now. Lucky 11 years ago - literally at this time of June 21-27th, 2015- Dad, Finley and I took a road trip driving the Loneliest Highway to Great Basin National Park, followed by Arches and Glenwood Springs.

My Dad gave the best hugs, loved with every ounce of his being, made every stranger feel like a best friend and lived every day fully!! He taught my siblings and the girls and I how a Father loves with intention, dedication and unconditionally. Happiest Father’s Day to the best!! Hug your Dad tight, say I love you a bazillion times and live life now!

Emerson has graduated from Boise High School!!

Right now, I wanted to share this pic as it exudes the love 💗 and joy in my girls celebrating each other! Our pride for Emerson and her special time in life, loving on her magical chapter of high school graduation!

Today is Finley’s promotion from Elementary School, and as I type this, Emerson is take her to a special breakfast together. Makenzie and Emerson will be there to celebrate her special day. Three huge milestones in a 2 week window of College, High School and Elementary School graduations is a lot for a Mom, and also for all 3 of my girls. Watching them love, support, celebrate and lean into the joy of each other’s special days has been such a gift. I will truly remember the looks of pride on each of their faces as they celebrated their sisters for the rest of my life. So grateful for this magical time for us!!!

10,000 Maniacs “These Are The Days” was played on my graduation day, and I am feeling it all now. For all of you parents of graduates and graduates, lean in and be present.
