I love this quote by Nayyirah Waheed. Learning to befriend our bodies is a journey. The more people I work with on managing their pain, pelvic health challenges, and major life events the more apparent it becomes to me that self love is a game changing ingredient.

Our pelvic floor gets a work out with every move we make. The problem is, we don’t move enough. If you spend your day sitting in the same position, your pelvic floor is adapting to that one position and getting weaker for all other positions. We need to move our body to load the pelvic floor!

There are 4 primary types of Urinary Incontinence (UI): Stress, Urge, Overflow, Mixed.
All of these can be extremely distressing and reduce one’s quality of life. Some people with incontinence stop socializing, exercises, and engaging in previously enjoyable tasks because they are experiencing embarrassment, distress, or discomfort. There are ways to reduce your symptoms and live your life freely without constantly worrying about peeing.

Above are some common bladder irritants, this is not the full list. Your bladder can easily get irritated. I suggest if you can’t live without one of these irritants, pair the irritant with water. But remember, everybody is different, some people will have zero issues with these ingredients!
