I think we could all use something sweet, cold, and refreshing to get us through this west coast heat wave πŸ₯΅ Instead of heading to Starbucks to overpay for a frappuccino, try making this healthy + affordable version at home! Here’s a quick + easy recipe for two dreamy frappes that’ll cool you down, satisfy your sweet tooth, and keep you on track with your goals πŸ˜‰

Caramel Frappe - makes two servings, 72 calories per serving
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 1/2 cups ice
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp instant coffee
- 1 tbsp fat free caramel syrup
- 4 tbsp Lakanto golden monkfruit sweetener (feel free to add more/less to taste)

Horchata Frappe - makes 2 servings, 58 calories per serving [dairy free + vegan]
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 1/2 cups ice
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp instant coffee
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp Lakanto golden monkfruit sweetener (feel free to add more/less to taste)

Add all ingredients to a blender + blend on high until you reach a thick, frappe consistency. Divide into two equal servings + add optional toppings if desired (caramel drizzle/cinnamon powder, df whipped cream, etc). For even better macros, add your fav protein powder before blending. ENJOY! 🌺

🌞 MACRO-FRIENDLY SNACK SERIES: Empanadas 🌞
β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
These lil guys are low fat and come in right around 150 calories or less per empanada! The base dough (w/o filling) is 66 calories per empanada, you can just factor in the calories of whatever filling you choose to find the total cals. These amazing macros give you free rein to fill with your fav protein for a balanced #healthysnack. Below you’ll find easy savory and sweet filling options. Both are equally macro-friendly and DELICIOUS πŸ˜‹

Empanada dough (makes about 14 empanadas):
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3 oz LIGHT β€œI can’t believe it’s not butter” 
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1/4 cup water (or almond milk)

Ham + Cheese Filling:
- Sliced Prosciutto (+30 cals) OR Canadian bacon (+15-20 cals)
- Good and Gather Extra Thin Provolone (+45 cals per slice, my fav macro friendly cheese, feel free to sub)

Cheesecake Filling (per empanada):
- 1 tbsp whipped cream cheese (+25 cals)
- Tiny splash of vanilla extract
- ~1 1/2 tsp zero cal sweetener (I use @lakanto)
- 1 crushed up graham cracker square (+15-20 cals)
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. Taste mixture + add dditional sweetener if needed.
