“I gots to have more drillium”

The Soma Pescadero Glamour Shots, 17 slides worth. Have a sniff! It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a road bike in my life. I’ve learned a lot about what I like in bikes during my time away from them and this time around I aimed to curate the comfiest road bike build that’s still meant to cover a lot of ground quick. I chose this frame over something with a carbon fork with that in mind, I wanted rim brakes for the more compliant fork (and other reasons), and 700x38 tires were what I had in mind to eat up our not so great roads while keeping me stabilized and speedy. I got the IRD brake levers because I’m picky bout hood shapes and these ones looked like the shape I prefer. As soon as I saw them I wanted to get more drillium. I had drillium dreams and I got lucky over the winter and found the Velo Orange crankset on a clearance sale. I will go more in depth on all of the components in a first impressions ride YouTube video soon, but if you have any questions drop them below! Summer on 😎

The 1-1/8” steerer MCX fork is back in stock for QR hubs AND 👉12x100 thru-axle hubs (previously it used the rarer 15x100)

Hannah leads the city of Raleigh’s micromobility program - so you know she’s gotta have a fire commuter.

She says “when I moved to Raleigh, I transformed my only bike into my “car” - which meant adding racks + a basket + other features to make riding loaded feel more comfortable. Several thousand miles later, I learned a lot about what I liked about that setup (and what I didn’t!) to build this bike. The biggest change being going from a aluminum + carbon fork frame to a fully steel frame. And custom wheels perfect for supporting heavy groceries. I can go fast (if I must!), but speed wasn’t the primary goal of this build. It was utility, fun, and comfort.”

She definitely made a great choice using an Space Horse for her new car.

The components she landed on balance performance and longevity well. Plus there’s touches of steez from with a beautiful stem cap and who added a few extra braze-ons and a color shifting harlequin paint job.

For those of you looking for a bike painted by you’ll have to get a brand new custom one! He’s not taking any refinish work for the foreseeable future.
