The agility aspect of our training is not exactly parkour. What we teach is something called "Spirit Running," which is indigenous based. One major difference is that the intention of Spirit Running is to get more connected to your natural surroundings. Therefore, unlike in parkour, we actually don't view things in terms of obstacles - things in your way. Instead, they are viewed that as things that can help you.
As students advance, they begin their outdoor training so they can truly experience Spirit Running. And this is another major difference between what we teach and parkour. Our outdoor training are in mountains, forests, deserts, etc. Whereas parkour is primarily practiced in city settings.
