Our R.O.C.K. Afterschool programs at Carson, Simonds, and Los Alamitos had a wonderful time celebrating Lights On today! 🎉

Despite the unexpected rain, power outages, and last-minute changes, our amazing staff went above and beyond to ensure our kiddos had a fun, memorable, and exciting experience.
From creating their own delicious treats and decorating personalized tote bags for trick-or-treating to enjoying fun games and activities, our students had a blast! 🎃👜🍬

Celebrating Lights On and shining a spotlight on our afterschool programs is always so special to us. We are incredibly proud of our dedicated staff for their flexibility, teamwork, and commitment to making the day a success, no matter the challenges.

A heartfelt thank-you to all the parents who stopped by to celebrate with us and to our families for their continued support throughout the years. Your partnership means so much to us! ❤️

Here's to celebrating the joy, creativity, and impact of afterschool programs! 🌟

🎃 A HUGE shoutout to our amazing “Boo Crew”! 👻

Our staff have been working hard over the past several weeks to bring our Haunted Hallway to life for the 20th Anniversary of the Almaden Community Center/ Library & Harvest Festival this Saturday, October 17! 🕸️ (Not everyone is pictured!)

A very special THANK YOU to Teresa for leading this incredible team and helping make one of the festival’s biggest attractions extra special — and extra spooky! 👏🖤 The creativity, teamwork, and dedication our staff have poured into this experience truly deserves the spotlight!

And this year, they’ve taken things up a notch! 👀 We’ve expanded the Haunted Hallway to create an even scarier experience, and we can’t wait for you to see what our Boo Crew has been brewing!

🕷️ Join us this Saturday from 11am-4pm at the Harvest Festival and come brave the Haunted Hallway if you dare! We can’t wait to see you there!

Let’s give our amazing staff some love for all their hard work! 🖤🎃

🎃🍂 Fall Fun at Emma Prusch Farm! 🐐🚜

Last week, the San Jose Recreation Preschool @ Almaden families enjoyed a fun field trip to Emma Prusch Farm Park! 🌾 We had a private tour of the vegetable garden, got up close with the farm animals, and enjoyed a fun hayride through the farm that ended at a pumpkin patch! 🎃

The fun continued with yummy snacks, exciting games, and decorating our very own pumpkins to take home! 🧡🍁 It was a beautiful day filled with learning, laughter, and special memories shared with family and friends.

A big THANK YOU to Emma Prusch Farm Park for welcoming us and making our visit so memorable! 💛

The presentation focused on recognizing financial scams, identifying common warning signs, and sharing practical tips to help older adults protect themselves from fraud.

Thank you to Director Kien Nguyen and The 229 Association for providing this valuable information to our community!
