SUMMER TENNIS CAMP – San Jose Swim and Racquet Club * In accordance with Nike, Stanford, and other summer camps, we are requiring proof of vaccination for all tennis campers and staff. This is subject to change as Summer approaches.

Fun Adult Tennis Tournament last Sunday! Everyone played a lot, ate great food, and met new people.

Congratulations to our Mixed 7.0 team! Our team won all of the playoff rounds and went to Sectionals. At sectionals they beat everyone in 4 tough rounds and made the finals against RINCONADA PK 18MX7.0B [RoyalFlush]. In a tough final, our team lost 1-2 against a team that was recruited from all over the Bay area. Our Mixed 7.0 team is one of the two best teams in Norcal and we did it with our club members!

Our Mixed 7.0 team won the first round of the Playoffs by beating Cupertino 2-1! Great turnout by everyone to cheer them on. Close win, with the deciding match at doubles #3 starring Dana Knapp and Scott Polhemus winning in a close tiebreaker to win the 2nd set and the match! Our illustrious Capitan Rosh Kujur and Kelly Kennedy gave a doubles lesson at #1, winning 6-2, 6-0. Sherry Keogh and Sam Belletto lost an awfully close match at #2. Everyone was fun to watch, lots of exciting points! Next up in Playoff #2 will be one of the Sunnyvale teams and it will be an away match.

4 of our USTA League teams have made the playoffs in their league: 40+ Men's 4.0, 40+ Women's 3.0, 18+ Mixed 7.0, and 18+ Mixed 8.0!!! Way to go teams.

1/12/23: Brand New Day, Power is UP and CLUB IS OPEN!!! Thanks to those PG&E guys that have been working non-stop.

All power is down at the club again today. The power pole that went down yesterday at Lincoln and Paula Street is still not repaired. It is a major outage, affecting 5,000 customers including our San Jose Swim & Racquet Club. No firm word yet on when it will be back up, so club will remain closed. Once we get power back, it takes hours to get the pool back running properly so we are not planning to open today.
