Team Finals 2026
Both Kaci and Shane ran the gamblers race
Kaci did the race of champions
Both did the actual event
Both drivers did great but unfortunately Both fought car issues this weekend
One car couldn't hold it's numbers
One couldn't even roll due to a belt issue by the end of the first night
But Both drivers had some awesome reaction times and put together great packages
Kaci made it to quarter finals in the gamblers race
We may not have placed but team finals is always our favorite race of the year
Being together with everyone
Enjoying amazing food
Cheering on all of the drivers
Great job team midstate!

Last weekend Shane made it to winners lane and this weekend Kaci said hold my mountain lightening, I'm going to park there too
Shane went rounds today but unfortunately didn't get to park in winners lane but Kaci went rounds and drove the big end all day long
She stayed focused and knew exactly what calls needed to be made before she was even strapped in.
She spent the whole day in the water box when she wasn't making passes in car
She's already home and in bed!

Headed to Midstate Dragway this past weekend
Tested Kaci's car friday night after a few passes we were feeling confident enough to park it for the night
Saturday we woke up to some standing water from an over night rain
The track crew did an awesome job getting it all dried, had a slight delay but still had us on the track at a decent time
Kaci won first round but second round she killed a little too much at the big end and couldn't make that win light come on
Shane was entered in the sportsman class in his Monte Carlo
All day he had tough competition but kept turning on the win lights all the way into the final
Earning his first time in the winners circle!
We are proud of him to not only get this win but get it while running 2 cars and multiple classes!!

Friday we headed to World Wide technology raceway
Got in 1 test hit for the gamblers race when mother nature took charge and shut us all down for the night.
After some super heavy rain and crazy storms that continued well into the night Saturdays forecast wasn't looking promising at all.
They ended up canceling Saturdays event but
Next door Proam was having an event so we got to hang out with friends and watch some drifting!

Sunday we woke up to clear blue skys!
Kaci was entered into the TRG shootout and the bracket race
This girl was on fire!
She kept turning the tree green and the win lights on all day
Unfortunately she went out in the bracket race but it was a race both cars put up awesome packages!
She made it down to 9 cars in the TRG shootout she had a good light but the other drivers was better. She did however have the best losing package and won $100 for that!
She may not have won the event but she did awesome all day and had a lot of fun!

Point race #2 is in the books
While this chapter didn't go the way we had hoped
It was still a good weekend spent with friends and having fun
Andi even made a few tnt hits
Kaci and Andi both had .017 lights ( )
Shane made it to the final 3!!
You can lose a shoe, you can lose on a red light
But as long as you keep trying and having fun you are still winning
Shane and Kaci will be back at it next Saturday at Midstate Dragway

Never once headed to a track has the GPS said "turn right after Walgreens"
Pulled in late Friday night to Wabash Dragway in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Kaci pulled out 2 back to back awesome lights and got the bye for first round but due to an even amount of cars she carried the bye all the way until they were down to 8 cars and she lost.
We may not have had the outcome we were hoping for
But it was still neat to experience a new track, new racers, and just a different environment.
Fingers crossed the rain moves around us and we can try again tomorrow

Spring Nostalgia 2026
The driver was doing a lot of driving this weekend

Ran the first twin ten of the year today
Kaci went rounds and dad fought the car all day
Made some pretty major adjustments after 1st round but the fight continued
Kaci had some good lights and stayed focus
She got a bye into the finals
And in the finals the car got it's life figured out but unfortunately went too fast
2nd place finish is still great tho!
