Almaden Soccer Welcome to the Official page of Almaden Soccer. We have both recreational and competitive programs. We are a club, not just a team.

Almaden Soccer was founded as a non-profit organization in 1967. Since then we have expanded our club to serve both recreational and competitive players. We are dedicated to developing all of our players both on and off the field and unlike other youth soccer clubs, emphasize the importance of enjoyment within soccer regardless of program affiliation.

Meet the AFC U14 Rec Whitecaps!

The Whitecaps are in their first season competing at the U14 level, and with several players even playing up from U12, they're one of the younger teams in their division. But that hasn't stopped these boys from showing up, competing, and getting better with every game.

On October 10, the Whitecaps faced fellow AFC team Real Almaden in a hard-fought match. Both teams battled back and forth, creating scoring opportunities and competing right up until the final whistle.

What made this game especially meaningful for the Whitecaps was seeing just how far they've come. Earlier in the season, these same teams met in a scrimmage, and the improvement in the Whitecaps' competitiveness, teamwork, and ex*****on since that first meeting was something their coaches couldn't have been prouder of.

Fast forward to October 17, when the Whitecaps traveled to face Sunnyvale Alliance. After a sluggish start in the midday heat, the boys settled in, found their rhythm, and put together a strong team performance.

With two league games remaining, the Whitecaps are continuing to build momentum toward the California Cup tournament in Fremont on November 21–22.

And a special shout-out to Head Coach Brett Lotz and Assistant Coach Dianna Lujan! Both were recently recognized at AFC's Rec Coach Appreciation Dinner, with Brett receiving the Compete Award and Dianna receiving the Inspire Award. Two coaches who are making a difference in the lives of these young players.

This is what AFC Rec is all about. Players learning, improving, competing, and growing together, with dedicated coaches helping them every step of the way.

Let's go, Whitecaps! 💚

One Club. No Limits.
