Gracie Jiu-Jitsu East San Jose

Nothing is built in a day. At least nothing of value. We put up two more wall pads today. Now that all of the wall mat are bolted on by the studs I feel much better. ®

The work continues!

We’re redoing the wall panels. Going from Velcro and liquid nail to keep them up to French Cleats. Now the will be bolted to studs like Gracie university.

One really important thing about a place to train is the vibe of the tribe. Here at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu east San Jose we foster a group individuals that make people feel like they are welcome. ® ®

All fights start standing up! That’s why in the Gracie combatives curriculum we teach a standing technique ever class. Weather we are defending punches, head locks or chokes.

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of opening Gracie Jiu-Jitsu east San Jose. Much has changed since then. I’m still growing as a Jiu-jitsu practitioner and instructor. Especially about what it means to be a better instructor.

yesterday was Nathan’s last master cycle class. He was the first student that earned their c Gracie combatives belt. I’m super impressed by his progress during the time he was with us. And I happy to be a part of his journey during his college years. He is a very talented person and I know he has many more great things to accomplish.
