Mind Set...
-
All too often, especially in the last year, we have these negative voices coming into our minds and sub-conscience telling us you’re no good, you lost your job, you’re a failure, or your gaining weight you are lazy or that you can’t do this you don’t have the skills... on and on. 2020 was the hardest year for me and many people around the world. With the loss of loved ones to the loss of their jobs to financial ruin.

One thing I have learned during all this tragedy, is to count my blessings, however small they may be. I keep a gratitude journal of the things I am thankful for each day. I encourage others to do the same.

Words cannot describe when you enter into the Yosemite Valley and see Bridalveil Falls standing 617 ft and then see the sheer awe of the 3000 ft monolith of El Capitan and if that wasn’t enough, you turn the corner of El Cap and see the iconic Half Dome, over 8000 ft of granite, God’s sculpted art piece...

The great solemn cathedral, far vaster and more beautiful than any built by the hand of man.

I can't help thinking that if the American West were discovered today, the most glorious bits would be sold off to the highest bidder. Yosemite might be nothing but weekend homes for Internet tycoons.

Roll it out baby!

Welcome to my pre workout ritual. With many people working from home and being not as active throughout the day. I encourage y’all to really take some time roll out your muscle, especially pre and post workout.

I spend about 10 minutes before I begin my workout rolling out then some dynamic stretches. By taking the time to do this you are helping increase flexibility and range of motion, not to mention preventing injury and getting that blood flow into your muscle again and breaking up some of that fascia.

So get out there and roll!

First gym progress pic since February...

I had posted a gym selfie on January 2nd asking what everyone’s 2020 fitness goals were? Who would have thought that a goal would have been to just be able to go to a gym... or stay healthy... none of us knew then, that most of us would not have access to a gym for going on 5 months now...

What now are your 2020 goals both inside and outside the gym? Love to hear below ⤵️

This was taken at and I was the only one in the locker room. I drive to Santa Cruz as that county is open and this gym is super clean and very strict on limiting people and requiring face masks and very organized with their cleaning schedule after each 90 minute session. @ Santa Cruz Power Fitness
