Members enjoy a variety of sports and fitness activities for adults and children at our separate Sports Pavilion featuring six lighted tennis courts and tennis pro shop, a 25-yard competition pool, an adult-only swimming pool, a toddler pool, outdoor spa, and a fully-staffed fitness center that is equipped with cardiovascular, strength and Pilates equipment and offers group fitness classes, personal training and massage therapy. A variety of lessons and camps are available year round for children and Kids Club offers numerous programs including hourly care, movie nights and after-school programs. The facilities also include complete locker rooms with dry saunas and a beautifully appointed member reception and relaxing lounge area.

Congratulations to our honorary member, Kaleiya Romero! 🎉

Silver Creek Valley Country Club is proud to celebrate Kaleiya on earning her 2027 LPGA Tour card! 🏆

Kaleiya’s season on the Epson Tour included nine top-10 finishes and her first professional victory at the Island Resort Championship.

Her accomplishment marks an exciting milestone in her journey back to professional golf and reflects the dedication and perseverance she has brought to the game. ⛳️

In 2027, she’ll also join her younger sister, Kiara Romero, on the LPGA Tour, making the upcoming season even more special.

Our SCVCC community is proud of Kaleiya and looks forward to following her continued success at the highest level of professional golf.

A big round of applause for our tournament winners and everyone who participated. Our members came together for a day of friendly competition, great sportsmanship, and plenty of pickleball!

Day 5 brought the most anticipated round of the trip: the iconic St Andrews Old Course!

Our golfers enjoyed another beautiful day of weather as they walked the hallowed ground of the Home of Golf… fairways that have hosted 30 Open Championships and will welcome the world’s best again in 2027.

For everyone in the group, it was more than just another round of golf. It was an unforgettable experience and a true bucket-list moment that they’ll remember for years to come.

On Day 4, our golfers enjoyed playing the beautiful St. Andrews Jubilee Course, located between the coast and the Old Course. The Jubilee offered breathtaking views of the coast and was a good warm up for playing the Old Course the following day as the golfers would see similar playing conditions.

The day concluded with a group dinner at Clarets Cafe and Brasserie, overlooking the St. Andrews Bay.

On day 3 of the SCVCC Scotland trip, our golfers faced the challenge of playing the Championship Course at Carnoustie Golf Links. Home of several Open Championships and nicknamed “Car-nasty,” the course has 111 bunkers (some with 12-foot high faces) along with water-filled burns crisscrossing the fairways.

Especially well-known was the 1999 Open Championship when French professional golfer, Jean Van de Velde, came to the final hole with a 3-shot lead, and unfortunately made a triple-bogey to fall into a tie and eventually lose in a playoff. Our member, Rich Q. reenacted the infamous burn scene where Jean Van de Velde considered hitting his ball out of the water.

Rain and wind is the norm at Carnoustie, but we were lucky to have sunshine and wind. Our golfers took on the challenge of Carnoustie with a positive attitude and enjoyed the round!

Our travelers not playing golf enjoyed an amazing tour of Glamis Castle. This is where Queen Elizabeth’s mother was born and raised and where Queen Elizabeth spent many of her holidays. They were greeted with a bagpiper upon arrival and enjoyed afternoon tea in the 16th century room.

Day 2 concluded with a group dinner at the “18” Steakhouse on the rooftop of the Rusacks Hotel adjacent to the 18th hole of the St. Andrews Old Course. The food was amazing and the fun and camaraderie was even better!

On day 2 of our Scotland trip, the golfers had the opportunity to play Dumbarnie Links. It was a perfect day with sunshine, temperatures in the low-70’s, and hardly a breath of wind! The tradition on the 1st tee at Dumbarnie is to begin your round with a “dram” of wh***ey, and most of the golfers were happy to uphold the tradition!

For those not playing golf, their day involved an excursion to Edinburgh, and included a tour of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and custom purse making.
