Cedeno Chavez threw for 254 yards and 2 TDs for the Jaguars, but the Panthers’ big plays and late drive sealed the victory.

San José City Opens Season With 39-19 Victory Over Shasta - THE ROAR San José City College opened its season with a 39-19 win over Shasta on Saturday at Jaguar Stadium. The Jaguars scored twice on fumble returns and built a 36-6 halftime lead. Quarterback Cedeno Chavez threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, while Shasta’s Andrew Brown rushed for two scores.
