My grandmothers and mothers, my aunts and cousins, my sisters and girlfriends, my spiritual advisors, and my Aunt Marijane, pictured right.

This photo was taken with one of her students at the school she started on the Navajo Reservation in 1968 called St. Michaels Association for Special Education (SMASE). It is still operating today, run by the Navajo as she had always intended. I carry her spirit in me and feel her guidance continuously as I lead and grow Athena Camps.

In honor of International Women's day, I invite you to send a note of gratitude to a woman who has inspired you.

Middle School Camps and Coach in Training (CIT) registration is OPEN in San Jose and Los Altos!

Athena Middle School Camps are for the girls who want to hang out with friends, enjoy the outdoors, learn a new sport (or just get some exercise), enjoy creative art projects and meaningful discussions with mentors and friends.

Early bird registration is going on now through March 15th. Save up to $100 per week with early, multi-week and sibling discounts. Discounts automatically applied at checkout.
