Our challenger series are designed for both beginner youth and adult talents in building their sanctioned amateur muay thai competition record. This is the gateway for novice athletes with a number of sparring scrimmage experience on mat (no official IKF record or boxing ring set up)

The Maesh family came together as a unit. Jibril did it! He won unanimously and brought the Legends Muay Thai belt in 135lbs division .
This is a well deserved ‘W’ especially because of the pulled groin that left him with heavily utilizing mostly elbows and hands (4 out of 8 limbs). Our fight team is CONSTANTLY on the hunt for the best challenges…any takers? Who’s got next? 🤔

IFMA 2022 in Abu Dhabi! Jibril Omer of Team Maesh has represented USA at this prestigious event all the way in UAE after winning gold medal 🥇at US Qualifier in Colorado back in March. He did not make it to final at this time. Guess what, this is only the beginning of his even more successful career🥊ahead of him. We are very proud of him needless to mention! We cannot thank you, coaches and staffs enough for your patience, opportunity and support given before and during the event as well as after each bout everyday for the entire week. Congratulations to Team USA🇺🇸

We feel compelled to speak out as a coach, former athlete, parents and as a person, most importantly in this post. The scheduled title match did not happen at Battle of the Queens tonight. This is one of the fatal damages that can be done to athletes in a competition scene. And here is the reason why. The confirmed weight was 68lbs with 5lbs differential (max weight at 73lbs). The matchmaker has clearly confirmed it as shown in the text message exchanged between us earlier this month. Multiple communications were made all along. During the weigh ins, we came to find out that the opponent did not make agreed weight. IKF official record indicated 66.7lbs (later corrected to 66.8lbs).Ayna weighed in at 72lbs. She delivered the result. The opponent team would not agree to work it out on the weight together to at least make it into an exhibition. Hence IKF forfeited the bout. It broke Ayna’s heart especially after working so hard from training, weight management to the school work. She was looking forward to this big day. Earlier tonight, multiple people who came to the event had contacted us confused saying that the opponent was awarded the title. How could this be? We immediately got on a call with the promotion. They have assured us the following. 1. The correction was announced immediately at the event. 2. It will not go onto the IKF record. (IKF official has confirmed with us directly as well.)3. The promotion will announce accurate explanation and correction very soon from each and every social media account that they manage. 4. The promotion will award Ayna a promotional belt in recognition for the commitment. Nothing can be done to erase the damage. But now it is a matter of how sincerely this whole situation will be rectified. What would happen otherwise when they can freely see those social media posts when they are older? They must see the truth. Youth athletes are the future of our Muay Thai community. It is entirely up to us adults to protect their drive to succeed. We must cherish the spirit. We look forward to hearing from the promotion once the busy night is over. We are grateful for your sincere action and support given to our team.
