Congrats to the 2024 L.A. Dodgers on another World Series title!! I worked with closer Blake Treinen for a full season in High-A near the start of his career with Oakland. With the A's we challenged our pitchers to train like the top athletes on the field and emphasized doing the little things (like sprinting hard to cover first base). It was awesome to see Blake's career-long commitment to a high level of fitness pay off for him during heavy late-inning workloads as he hung tough against the Yankees top sluggers and was credited with wins in Games 1 and 5. Proud to see him returning to All-Star caliber form after injuries forced him to miss the past two seasons - and admired the way he credited his Heavenly Father for giving him the strength along the way. Small daily work habits can translate to great achievements in the long run...and sometimes on the biggest stage!
