All tax returns are prepared by Cal Poly accounting students who have gone through extensive training and have passed the IRS and FTB volunteer exams. The returns are then reviewed by local certified tax professionals. Clinics will be held at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, in Arroyo Grande, in Paso Robles, and at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. Free tax preparation services for seniors, low-income SLO County residents start February Starting Monday, seniors and low- to moderate-income community members in San Luis Obispo County can receive free tax assistance services from the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide of San Luis Obispo County.
Due to COVID-19, we will not be running our VITA clinic at Cal Poly this year. Please check back for more information on how you can get your taxes prepared.
