Hi, I’m Alyssa — founder of A’kini Swimwear.

If you’re new here, welcome.

I never set out to build a “brand.” I just wanted swimwear that felt better — more wearable, more flexible, more sustainable, and less frustrating to shop for.

Over time that turned into A’kini. Most pieces are adjustable, some are not, but the intention has always been the same: make things that feel good on real bodies in real life. Pieces that can also adjust with you as your body naturally fluctuates — daily, weekly, monthly… you know how it is.

A big focus for me has also been fabric. I use luxury-feel materials that, without fail, are the first thing people comment on in person — it’s always, “wow, this is so soft.” And that’s exactly the point. I want you thinking about how it feels on your skin, not just how it looks on a hanger.

I’m still very hands-on in every part of this — from designing and choosing colors, to product development details, photography, editing content, social media, and packing every order. I also spend a lot of time at local markets getting feedback in real time, which has shaped this more than anything else.

What I care most about is creating pieces that feel intentional in your hands and on your body — without inflated price tags or the idea that quality has to be compromised to be accessible.

I’m really glad you’re here 🫶

The Ventura VS Hermosa Top & Bottom:

Ventura is all about styling variation through detail. A triangle top designed to be worn multiple ways — with thick ties or thin ties at the neck or back, and the option to cross and rework the straps to shift the look. The bottom features thicker tie sides with ruched adjustability, keeping coverage flexible but the finish more structured and intentional.

Hermosa keeps it classic. A triangle halter top with removable padding and fully adjustable coverage, paired with tie-side bottoms that ruch and shift from more minimal to more cheeky depending on how you style them.
