Central Coast Gymnatics Sport Center

We completed our first gymSAFE screening with the younger Girls Team athletes! Coach Renee and Coach/Dr. Shira, DPT attended the certification in San Francisco recently and are now certified to do it with our athletes!

GymSAFE was created by a
physical therapist and gymnastics coach. It's a screening for gymnasts that only takes 15 minutes and directly relates to gymnastics skills. The screening points out areas of tightness and weakness for individuals as well as common issues across a team/gym. Each gymnast gets a personalized report at the end that explains their strengths as well as their areas of need. The screen also provides a detailed form they can bring to a physical therapist for further evaluation and assistance when needed. This is a great tool to evaluate general physical preparation for gymnastics and can be used as a predictor of future performance as well potential for injury.

Congrats to our CCE Cheer Teams at their competition in Palm Springs this weekend!! S3rgeants is coming home with 1st place, J2 Bombsquad placed 2nd out of 8 teams and Missiles got 3rd place out of 7 teams. So proud of all our athletes and coaches!! All our teams raised their scores and performed great routines!! Congrats to S3rgeants for also being awarded a Golden Ticket for their high score! Way to go Bombsquad and Missiles for hitting ZERO deductions both days! Yay CCE!! 💙🖤🤍
