So, I just read that the LA Times Book Review recently came out with a book of pieces about what their writers had/have to say about the Pandemic, etc. so duh I thought why cant HopeDance do the same with all of our writers and readers and make it max 250 words and lets say January 8 is the deadline. Email to [email protected], text files are fine or attachments are ok. Please use the words PANDEMIC HOPEDANCE in the title so I know what its about asap. If you've written something already and feel inclined to send it, go for it. Make it deep, personal.. can be hilarious, serious, somber... any style you wish to make it... and if you need to compose two or three submissions, thats fine with me. A not so private letter for the public...

... Hello dede!!! Wow has it been almost 2 weeks without you... get out of the smoke and come back to Florence, OR... we had heavy dew or light rain right after I watered everything.... went for a walk with the kitties, both came and followed me... and now they are both sitting near me on the couch as I delve into the world of the iPad... hmmm let’s see what kinds of media foods will I munch on this morning? Political, satirical, humor, deep philosophical meanderings? Boy the human is soo adaptable, so rigid but at the same time ready and eager to be distracted from any personal commitment and simply be entertained... how can I spend so much time on the iPad traversing the world of entertainment disguised as educational or is it the other way around...?

what Does I Bob Banner wish to see right now,, a media diet with a dash of mindfulness please.. I don’t have to go to a library, I don’t even have to get up and walk twenty feet to my library to see what books I might browse through.. why bother get up when I can sit here for hours seeing video after video of DUST or commentary or humor all at my finger tips and now I seem totally interested in how ma********on toys are increasing in sales because of the pandemic, ahhh so I’m not the only one!!! Hahhhhaaa and where are you dear reader who is browsing for what?

A new sensation, a titillation, hmmm is that where the word tit comes from? When are we going to have a serious discussion about who we are really? Do we care? Doesn’t our need for social attention more important than anything... ahhh the teeney sensations we receive and now the AI masters know how to use algorithms to keep us fed with sensations and triggers so this is how we are fed and we have countless ways of justifying our distracted minds because it feels good and we don’t even care who is manipulating us.. bring it on our lower self screams!!!

Our higher self may have another one of those conversations of how to limit our techno habits... ahhh maybe time to even google search for remedies of digital addiction and see if it fits for YOU the reader, not ME the god almighty writer or artist or musician.... enuf of this bantering...
