Joan Collenette Damon
1928-2024

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of a legend.

Joan Collenette Damon passed Thursday morning, March 28th in her sleep. Joan was the second owner of the Collenette School of Dancing, taking over for her mother, the original founder, Beatrice Collenette. She touched hundreds if not thousands of people in her life with her enthusiasm and passion for the arts.

She was the greatest teacher and without her, the current Studio owner, Emily Bratmon would not be passing on the lessons and love that was instilled to her as a child.

She will be greatly missed.

Funeral announcements and a Celebration of Life event information will be announced soon. We ask you to pass on this message to any one you knew who danced at the Collenette Studio either with Joan or was one of her pupils.
