Eszterlánc Hungarian Folk Ensemble

🇭🇺 Jöjjön néhány kedves emlék a Belmontban megrendezett 10. Magyar Örökség Fesztiválról!

Nagy öröm és megtiszteltetés volt az Eszterlánc Magyar Népi Együttes és a Mazsola Gyermek Néptáncegyüttes számára, hogy részese lehetett ennek a különleges eseménynek, és együtt ünnepelhette magyar örökségünket egy ilyen lelkes és összetartó közösséggel.

Örömmel idézzük fel ezt a szép napot, és osztunk meg néhány pillanatot a fesztivál hangulatából.

Köszönjük mindenkinek, aki eljött, támogatta a rendezvényt, és hozzájárult ahhoz, hogy hagyományaink tovább éljenek. Reméljük, hogy ezek a képek sok szép emléket idéznek fel, és visszahozzák a közösen átélt örömteli pillanatokat.

🇺🇸 A few wonderful memories from the 10th Hungarian Heritage Festival in Belmont.

It was a great honor for the Eszterlánc Hungarian Folk Ensemble and the Mazsola Hungarian Children’s Folkdance Ensemble to perform and celebrate our Hungarian heritage together with such a warm and enthusiastic community.

As we look back on this special day, we are delighted to share a few moments captured during the festivities.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the festival, and helped keep our traditions alive. We hope these photos bring back wonderful memories and convey some of the joy we shared together.

🇭🇺 Szeret***el köszöntünk minden édesanyát és nagymamát, tengeren innen és túl! Külön szeret***el gondolunk táncosaink közül az édesanyákra, a leendő és lélekben édesanyákra, valamint a nagymamákra ezen a szép ünnepen. 🌷

🇺🇸 With love, we greet all mothers and grandmothers, near and far, across the seas.
On this special day, we especially think of the mothers among our dancers, those who will become mothers, those who are mothers in spirit, and all grandmothers. 🌷

🇹🇯 Ma, április 24-én, a Népviselet Napján különös figyelemmel fordulunk hagyományaink felé. A népviselet több mint öltözet – történeteket mesél, identitást őriz, és generációkat köt össze.

Számunkra minden hímzés, minden szín és minden részlet egy élő örökség része. Büszkén viseljük és adjuk tovább azt a szépséget, amit a magyar népi viseletek képviselnek – mert a múlt értékei a jelenben élnek tovább.

Ünnepeljük együtt mindazt, ami összeköt minket. ❤️

🇺🇸 Today, on April 24th, we celebrate the Day of Folk Costume by turning our attention to our traditions. Folk costume is more than clothing—it tells stories, preserves identity, and connects generations.

For us, every embroidery, every color, and every detail is part of a living heritage. We proudly wear and pass on the beauty represented by Hungarian folk costumes—because the values of the past continue to live in the present.

Let’s celebrate together all that connects us. ❤️

🇭🇺 Rendhagyó volt a múlt pénteki próbaalkalom, ugyanis az Eszterlánc csapatának egy része a Cinequest Filmfesztiválon a Magyar menyegző című filmet nézte meg. Jó volt egy estére kiszakadni a próbatérből, és egy amerikai moziban, nagyvásznon kalotaszegi táncokat csodálni — óriási élmény 🙂

A vetítés után még sokáig ment a beszélgetés a filmről, táncról, élményekről, benyomásokról.
Néha pont az ilyen közös programok adják a plusz lendületet a következő próbákhoz és fellépésekhez.

🇺🇸 Last Friday’s rehearsal looked a little different — instead of practice, the Eszterlánc group headed to the Cinequest Film Festival to watch the Hungarian Wedding. It felt great to step out of the rehearsal hall for an evening and see Kalotaszeg dances on the big screen in an American movie theater — such a powerful and inspiring experience 🙂

We ended up staying and chatting for quite a while afterwards, sharing thoughts about the film, dance, and what it all meant to us.
Sometimes it’s these shared moments outside the hall that give us fresh energy for the next rehearsals and performances.

If you get a chance to see the film somewhere, we definitely recommend it!

🇭🇺 Március 15. a szabadságról szól.

A múlt heti ünnepségen mi a tánc nyelvén próbáltuk megmutatni, mit jelent számunkra a szabadság — az örömöt, az összetartozást, a hagyományaink megélését és továbbadását.

Sok fellépő t***e különlegessé ezt a rendezvényt, jó volt együtt ünnepelni és megosztani egymással ezt az élményt.

🇺🇸 March 15th is about freedom.

At last week’s celebration, we tried to express through the language of dance what freedom means to us — joy, connection, and living and passing on our traditions.

Many performers made this event truly special, and it was a great experience to celebrate together and share these moments.

🇭🇺 Szombaton megtartottuk az éves táncházunkat a Magyar Kulturális Központban, és egy igazán emlékezetes estét élhettünk át!

A program rendkívül színes volt: a Gyanta Banda koncertjével indult a délután, akik a helyi közösség meghatározó muzsikusaival – a Crossroads Band tagjaival, Balogh Endrével és Szabó Marcival – együtt zenélve emelték az este színvonalát és teremt***ek fantasztikus hangulatot.

Ezt követte a Mazsolák rövid, kedves táncelőadása, majd a gyerektáncház, ahol a gyerekek a szülőkkel együtt kapcsolódhattak be a mulatságba.

Az est fergeteges hangulatát a táncolás mellett a finom magyar sütemények, a paprikás krumpli, a tombola, valamint a vásár – ahol gyönyörű ékszerek, valamint festmények közül lehetett válogatni – tették teljessé.

Hálás köszönet minden önkéntesünknek a rengeteg segítségért, és külön köszönjük tánctanárainknak – Dajka Ilkának, Bolgovics Gergőnek és Szabó Marcinak –, akik nagy odafigyeléssel és lendülettel vezényelték le az estét.
A talpalávalót pedig még egyszer hálásan köszönjük a Gyanta Bandának!

🇺🇸 On Saturday, we held our annual dance house at the Hungarian Cultural Center, and it turned into a truly memorable evening!

The program was wonderfully diverse and began with a concert by Gyanta Banda, who set the tone for an amazing evening and created an great atmosphere by performing together with outstanding local musicians — members of the Crossroads Band, as well as Endre Balogh and Marci Szabó.

This was followed by a short, charming dance performance by the Mazsola children’s group, and then a children’s dance house, where kids — and their parents — could all join in the fun.

Beyond the dancing, the lively atmosphere of the evening was made complete by traditional Hungarian pastries, paprikás krumpli, a raffle, and a small market where guests could browse beautiful jewelry and paintings.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of our volunteers for their invaluable help, and especially to our dance instructors — Ilka Dajka, Gergő Bolgovics, and Marci Szabó — who guided the evening with great care and energy.
And once again, a big thank-you to Gyanta Banda for providing the music that kept everyone on their feet!
