Our Art FUNdamentals program gives young artists the opportunity to explore, experiment, and create while building confidence and developing their own unique artistic voice.

Through hands-on projects and age-appropriate art experiences, students learn about different materials, techniques, and ways to express themselves — all in a fun and encouraging environment.

Happy birthday to our wonderful Vocal and Piano Teacher, Jenny! Jenny received her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from San Jose State University.

“I enjoy curating and finding music that will match the interests and skill sets of each student. Finding ways to connect to my students through thoughtful individualized lessons that are engaging and help build on their strengths, while also helping them navigate through new musical concepts and terrains. Thus, hopefully engaging their curiosity and wonder.”

Happy birthday to our wonderful Art Teacher, Tiffany! Tiffany studied art at the University of Hawaii Manoa and completed her Masters in the teaching of Arts Education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Tiffany is an art teacher who loves “having the ability to guide students to fall in love with themselves through their own artwork”

Tiffany’s unique approach to teaching can be described “As a teacher, my goal is to make sure every student of mine feels like their ideas are listened to and nurtured. My job is to make them feel respected while they grow their skills as artists.”

Happy Birthday, Teacher Craig!

Our amazing guitar instructor received his BA in Music with an emphasis on composition from San Francisco State University.

His teaching style centers on connection: “It’s important to me to show interest in each song and artist a student asks to learn about.” At Myriad, he enjoys the creative environment that supports both students and teachers.

Outside of music, Craig experiments with rug-making and filming on his old VHS camera, and he loves exploring all forms of art. As Prince said, “Music was put on earth to enlighten and empower us and feel closer to our center.”

Happy birthday to our wonderful Piano Teacher, Tiffany! Tiffany received her Bachelors of Music for Piano Performance at Manhattan School of Music followed by her Masters of Music for Collaborative Piano at Manhattan School of Music.

Tiffany says “I believe in a personal approach—to first build a connection with a student before instruction. A student is not just a student coming in to learn piano; he or she is a person with outside interests and things going on in their lives. I like to learn about them (aside from their music facet) in order to understand them better as a whole, and so that they feel safe, heard, and comfortable to learn and ask questions. As that is established, I focus on building a strong foundation and playing with ease, and we can have fun with that through games, improvising, and playing duets together. One of my goals is also to have students take ownership of their musical journey, and that is done by holding them accountable in their practice. There will be some weeks where lessons might be rough, but I strive to be a compassionate yet firm teacher—we are on the same team and I am rooting to see my students succeed!”
