“For me.”
Not for approval.
Not for attention.
Not because it’s trending.
For my strength.
For my confidence.
For my standard.
That’s the shift most people never make.
They train for everyone else and wonder why it doesn’t stick.
When it becomes personal… it becomes permanent.
for me.

Cold workout lesson.
Your head is only about 7–10% of your body, but in cold conditions it can account for 20–30% of total heat loss. When your scalp and ears are exposed, your nervous system reacts like the temperature just dropped 5–10°F and pulls heat away from your hands and joints to protect the core.
A beanie covers the scalp, ears, and upper neck. It traps heat and limits airflow.
A baseball cap blocks the sun and allows for airflow across your scalp. That’s it.
So in the early morning:
Let’s say the temperature is 50°F
No beanie → your body reacts like it’s ~42–45°F
Beanie on → nervous system relaxes, circulation improves, you feel functional again.
A beanie doesn’t magically heat you up.
It stops your brain from pulling heat away from everywhere else.
Take care of the small things first. The rest of the system performs better.

Most women avoid creatine because they’re convinced it’ll make them hold water.
And here’s the funny part…
When they finally decide to try it, they almost always go straight for the “gold standard” version known as Creatine Monohydrate.
The same version that’s known for causing a little extra water retention.
So what happens?
They see the scale bump up, or they feel a little softer for a day or two, and boom, their worst fear is confirmed.
“Creatine makes me look puffy.”
No… monohydrate does. And only if your diet isn’t tight.
That’s exactly why Creatine HCL exists:
🏆 Way better absorption
🏆 No bloat
🏆 No water retention
🏆 One capsule
🏆 And you still get all the strength benefits
Also, keep in mind that If you’re dialed in with your diet, monohydrate is fine.
But most people aren’t willing to overhaul their entire lifestyle, and I get it.
For the women who want the performance boost without the water weight, HCL is the smarter move.

‘JOHN’ – Hero WOD Submission
In memory of my father.
U.S. Navy Veteran. Fighter. Father. Endurer.
I originally created this WOD to be introduced on Father’s Day as a tribute to my dad, who passed away from leukemia. But in order for to even consider it for recognition, it first has to be posted publicly. So today, I’m sharing it with the world, and hopefully on Father’s Day, it’s shared even further via
⸻
🕊 ‘JOHN’
CrossFit Hero WOD
In honor of John, U.S. Navy Veteran and loving father, who fought bravely against leukemia and endured a lifetime of battles most will never understand.
⸻
For Time
🔥 100 Calories on each machine:
• Air Bike
• Rower
• SkiErg
You choose where to start.
Do 2 minutes on any machine, then immediately:
• Record your calories
• Do 5 Burpees
Jump back on a machine (same or different) and repeat.
Cycle continues until you’ve hit 100 calories on each of the 3 machines.
Score = Total time to complete 300 calories.
⸻
This WOD reflects the life my dad lived, relentless, gritty, full of pain, full of fight.
He endured more than anyone should ever have to. And when life finally started to soften… it hit him with the hardest challenge of all: leukemia.
Even then, he didn’t complain. He endured. If it were just about toughness, he would’ve beaten it.
This WOD is for him and for every quiet warrior who keeps showing up.
I hope CrossFit shares this on Father’s Day, where it belongs.

New Post-Workout Find
Just tried a product from Diana’s Bananas and I’m hooked. It hit the spot after my workout. It’s sweet, indulgent, but without the guilt of a typical dessert. Real fruit, real chocolate, and it won’t destroy your macros.
If you crave something satisfying after training but don’t want to undo your work, this is a solid option. I’m all about finding ways to make fitness sustainable and this one helps. Give it a shot and let me know what you think ;)
