Dear Students,



It is almost the end of the year and we are extremely thankful for another great year, and to have you and your family as a part of the Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Team. We want to thank you for trusting us to teach your family. It remains our goal, and the goal of our instructors, to develop your child’s fundamental skills correctly in the academy, and to motivate them to continue their training on a consistent basis, improving their skill sets and empowering them with critical life skills to be successful both on and off the mats.



This has been a great year for our team and we are very excited about 2024. As we greet the fast-approaching New Year, we count our blessings for our family, friends, and all of our students. We wish you and your Family the very best health, wealth, prosperity and peace in 2024.

Our Winter Break:

Our winter break this year will be from Friday, December 22nd thru Monday, January 1, 2024. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

The holiday season is upon us, but we are committed to making sure our students are staying active and finishing the year off strong! We encourage you to not let up now, and continue training regularly to prepare for the end of the year and our winter break.

Once again, thank you for being a part of the Charles Gracie Academy family and we wish you and your family a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!

The Charles Gracie Academy will be closed Friday, September 1st, through Monday, September 4th, to celebrate Labor Day Weekend. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 5th.

FREE SEMINAR with Master Charles Gracie!

As a celebration of the 12th anniversary of San Mateo Academy, we will offer a free Master Charles Gracie Seminar to kids and adults. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from our academy founder and Coral Belt!

Date: Saturday, August 26th

Kids: 10am-11am
Adults: 11:30-1:30pm

All participants must wear a clean Charles Gracie Gi along with observing our regular practices of wearing flip flops and bringing a water bottle.

The seminar will replace regular Saturday classes and is complementary to CGSM students.

Dear Parents/ Students of Charles Gracie San Mateo,

It is finally time to celebrate during summer again with our 11th annual Picnic!

It will occur at Coyote Point Park, 1701 Coyote Point Drive, San Mateo, CA 94401 on Sunday, August 20, 2023 (Eucalyptus Group Picnic 3 and 4).

The Potluck starts from 10:30am up until 4:00pm. When attending, please bring water and a dish/beverages to share in the potluck.

In addition, bring a bucket/water gun!!!
