Spring cleaning came early at Crossroads Fitness!!
We have a great professional cleaning service at our facility, but in light of the recent virus pandemic, your trainers wanted to go a little above and beyond to ensure your health and safety.
This weekend, this amazing crew got together and sanitized the gym from top to bottom, getting into all the little nooks and crannies. They purged old equipment and deep cleaned everything else!
They completely "disassembled" the mobility lab space and kitchen area to make sure they didn't miss anything in their efforts.
We have a hand sanitizer dispenser at the front door and everyone is constantly washing their hands. 👏🏻🙌🏻 Many of the trainers are even carrying around their own bottles of disinfectant to clean before/during/after use of equipment.
Even though personal training is fairly hands-on, we are also implementing as much social distancing as possible by rescheduling clients to less busy times, utilizing our outdoor space, and standing a little further away from clients than normal. ❤️

A great alternative to crunches, planks can help improve core strength and stability. Planks don’t just work your core, they work your entire body and can be done anywhere. To target your obliques and strengthen your spine, try side planks. 1) Lie on your right side and prop yourself up onto your right forearm, with your elbow in line with your shoulders. 2) Raise your hips so your body is in a straight line from head to feet, stacking your feet, or placing your top foot in front of the other for more stability. Lift your free arm in the air. #

Did you know that the “Godfather of Fitness” was inducted into the California Museum Hall of Fame?! “In 1936, he opened the nation's first health and fitness club in Oakland, California, where he offered supervised weight and exercise training and gave nutritional advice. His primary goal was to encourage and motivate his clients to improve their overall health. Doctors, however, advised their patients to stay away from his health club, a business totally unheard of at the time, and warned their patients that "LaLanne was an exercise 'nut,' whose programs would make them 'muscle-bound' and cause severe medical problems."
