King’s Boxing Gym, Oakland, California Celeste king

There are no words to express our love and gratitude for Mr. & Mrs. King. You have both given my wife Casey and I genuine love and support throughout our boxing careers.

I trained at King’s Gym as a professional from February 1992 to February 1993. Although it was only a brief part of my journey, I look back on that time with great pride and am honored to be part of King’s Gym history.

With a heartfelt smile, Mr. King told me on more than one occasion that people would ask if I was his son. I was always moved by that. I took it as a huge compliment, and it is something I will always remember.
