Urban Combative Martial Arts

Today I learned of the passing of Northern California martial artist **Stephen Curley**. Stephen was a longtime karate instructor and a private student of the late **Latosa Escrima Grandmaster Rene Latosa**.

I first met Stephen in 1996 and always appreciated his dedication to the arts and the quiet way he carried his knowledge. He was part of a generation that trained hard, stayed humble, and helped keep the traditions alive.

My thoughts are with his family, friends, and students. Rest in peace, Stephen. 🙏
