Irish Dance is a fun and engaging way to form good healthy habits, including discipline, dedication, team work, physical fitness and, most importantly, friendships. Our teaching staff is dedicated to assisting and encouraging all our students to reach for, work for, and achieve their goals in Irish Dance. Instilling love and passion for Irish Dance since 1967, the McBride School of Irish Dance (MSID) is one of the larges Irish Dance Schools in Northern California. MSID has classes currently in Dublin, Oakland, Concord, Lafayette, San Rafael, Vallejo, Tracy and Livermore. We invite you to join Team McBride today. The McBride School is registered with and certified by An Coimisiun Le Rince Gaelacha, the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Northern America, Western U.S. Region, and sponsor of the annual East Bay Feis.

A fantastic story of two young ambitious children growing up in Glasgow. Kathleen McAdams and Ann “Annie” Horan McBride met as young Irish Dancers in Glasgow, Scotland as children.

Coincidentally they both immigrated to Northern California and would meet again. One continued her love and passion for Irish Dance, and one continued with their love and passion for Scottish Highland and Country Dancing.

After 8+ decades, annually at the Scottish games, they meet up, reminisce and support each others performances.

Congratulations to both for sharing their talents for generations of dancers! What a special bond to witness.

We appreciate you both for your dedication to promoting Irish and Scottish culture. You are absolute Legends!!

Thank you to all of the McBride Irish Dancers who performed and-their, parents and families who supported us all weekend. From our brand new McBride littles 5 year olds to our youth, tweens, teens and Adults, we thank you and appreciate your dedication, talent, loyalty and support.
We want to extend our gratitude to the The Caledonian Club of San Francisco for having us perform for two decades. It is great to partner with you and keep the Scottish and Irish culture alive in 2026.

Congratulations to all of the McBride School Grade and Champion Dancers. You all danced your hearts out at Feis in The Vines hosted by Keenan School Of Irish Dance St. Vincent's Hall.

We are proud of all of your efforts, successes, and sportsmanship when things didn’t go as planned.

So many great achievements in our Grade dancers and champs given it was the end of summer break, back to school, and step modifications.

Congratulations to Audrey U16 Open Champion 1st Place, Gemma U13 Open 1st Place, Ellie 3rd Place U13 Prelim Sat and Sunday, and Vienna 4th place U13 Saturday.

Thank you Fidelma Keenan-Glaser and team for a great Feis experience.
