We believe there are far more children and families to reach than any one church or sports ministry could ever serve.

That is why we do not view churches and other Christ-centered organizations using sports for ministry as competition. We share a greater purpose: bringing glory to God, spreading the Gospel, and demonstrating the love of Christ to children and families.

Some churches operate leagues on their own fields and in their own gyms. Others partner with schools, parks, nonprofits, or ministries like Paladin. The model may differ, but the mission should unite us.

Paladin founder Jason Best explores this opportunity in a new article for Religious Product News: “Why Church Sports Matter More Than Ever.”

Our hope and prayer is that churches and sports ministries everywhere will recognize the mission field before them and that each of these ministries will be blessed and flourish.

There is a difference between learning from the past and living there.

Youth sports gives us plenty of reasons to look back. We replay mistakes, second-guess decisions, romanticize previous teams and allow disappointment to shape how we approach whatever comes next.

The past may help explain where we are but it does not get to decide where Christ is leading us next.

From first-time players learning the game to returning athletes ready for another season with their teammates, Paladin is about giving kids a place to play, grow, belong, and experience sports in a Christ-centered community.

South Tucson showed up! ❤️⚽

What an incredible morning at our FREE Soccer Clinic this past Saturday at John F. Kennedy Park! More than 75 kids joined us for a morning filled with soccer, fun, community, and plenty of smiles.

A huge thank you to the volunteers who gave their time to serve these kids and families, and to everyone who helped make the morning special with Bibles, music, popcorn, sno cones, and more.

This is what Sports Outreach is all about: using sports to bring people together, serve families, and share the love of Christ.

South Tucson, we're just getting started.
